Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for Ahsoka Episode 3, so read at your own risk!

During the entirety of the animated series Rebels, Sabine Wren is only known as a human Mandalorian warrior who is not Force-sensitive as we saw her rely a lot on her impressive combat and marksman skills throughout her action-packed adventures with the Ghost Crew.

However, in the first two episodes of Ahsoka, it starts to look like the character's journey might be different than we initially thought as she agrees to become Ahsoka Tano's Padawan again and potentially become a Jedi.

If they establish in the subsequent episodes that Sabine is Force-sensitive after all this time, it is arguably going to be a major retcon of the character as it will change what we've known of her ever since she was introduced in the animated series.

At the beginning of the third episode of Ahsoka, Sabine is seen restarting her Jedi training under the guidance of Ahsoka Tano as we see her learn the various lightsaber techniques with the assistance of Huyang.

When Ahsoka entered the training area of the ship, she advised Sabine that she must have an open mind to wield the Force. She also handed her a covered helmet and trained her to use her other senses to find the opponent without any view.

However, Sabine is getting frustrated with the process and she is eventually knocked down by Ahsoka, who warns her about the feeling of anger and frustration.

In a later scene, Sabine expressed her frustration again over the lack of the Force in her training, but Ahsoka assured her that the process takes time and the Force exists inside of her.

Afterward, we saw Sabine try to use the telekinesis power to move a cup on the table, but her efforts were to no avail.

It is clear at this point that the series wants to explore the idea of Sabine being Force-sensitive and potentially becoming a Jedi later on which could be a risk as it is being perceived as a retcon by most fans and it is unclear at the moment how they are going to handle this breakthrough.

Given how beloved the character is and how massive these changes are, a lot of convincing needs to be done for fans in order for them to believe that it is her natural path moving forward.
