Zack Snyder’s Next Project After Justice League Is The Fountainhead

Little may be known about Zack Snyder's future in the DC Extended Universe after Justice League, but it looks like the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director has a new project on his hands – a live-action adaptation of Ayn Rand's 1943 novel, The Fountainhead.

After the release of Justice League back in 2016, Snyder announced that he would be working on The Last Photograph, a dramatic movie about a special ops soldier and a war corresponding traveling together to Afghanistan after being pushed to journey to the country by a photo. However, a new comment by the director on Vero seems to indicate that Snyder's planning to put The Last Photograph on hold for The Fountainhead.

The controversial filmmaker was just recently asked about his next project by a fan, and Snyder gave a quick confirmation that he'd be working on an adaptation of Rand's The Fountainhead.

For those who aren't familiar with the book, The Fountainhead is one of Rand's novels published in 1943 following the life of an architect and individualist named Howard Roark. Though the book wasn't that successful during its release, it later on gathered a huge following, The Fountainhead becoming one of the most important texts for political thinkers that lean towards the right.

Knowing Snyder's strong belief in Objectivism, it comes as no surprise that the director would go on to work on an adaptation of one of Rand's most popular books, The Fountainhead.
