Fans are certainly hoping for the best when it comes to the next Batman film. Interestingly, Zack Snyder might be offering up some hope by releasing a new picture of the Caped Crusader.
The Justice League director has been pretty active on Vero, sharing photos and interacting with fans who are asking about his new projects. Snyder's latest post is a new image of Batman with a label that immediately had people wondering about Ben Affleck's future. Check it out below.

See anything unusual in the photo? The name written at the bottom is "Richard." There is one character in the comic book with that name who also took on the Batman mantle. Naturally, fans began speculating that Snyder is teasing on Dick Grayson possibly become the Dark Knight in the DC Extended Universe.
However, the image isn't actually connected to Nightwing. It has been revealed that the photo is from Justice League and "Richard" refers to Affleck's stunt double Richard Cetrone. Nevertheless, it's an awesome picture that shows off Snyder's flair for dramatic shots.
It looks like Affleck might actually reprise his role as the Caped Crusader soon. It was previously reported that the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice actor was spotted at the Warner Bros. studio with a script in his hand. Matt Reeves' screenplay for The Batman has reportedly been approved and would only require some minor changes. In addition to that, the new DCEU film is expected to begin production by 2019.
Warner Bros. still has several other DCEU projects to work with other than The Batman. Birds of Prey recently cast Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress and Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary. The Cathy Yan film is expected to begin principal photography in January 2019.
The Batman has not yet been given an official release date. Nevertheless, the movie is expected to premiere sometime in 2020.
