2023 marks the end of the SnyderVerse as we know it. The so-called DCEU launched by Zack Snyder a decade ago will now close its chapter for good, with the newly-established DC Studios set to reboot the franchise in 2025.

For years, fans of the Justice League director have supported the cause to "restore" the SnyderVerse. While the release of the Snyder Cut gave many renewed hope, it was clear that James Gunn and Peter Safran had different plans.

But that's not to say that Snyder has given up. Turns out, he's not closing his doors on potentially continuing what he started.

Speaking with Cultura Ocio, the Rebel Moon director was asked if he'd still be down to "restoring" the SnyderVerse. According to Zack, if the streaming giant owned the rights to his characters from the DC Extended Universe, he'd "absolutely" do it.

Of course, anything is possible in this world but the idea of the director restoring the "SnyderVerse" on Netflix seems like a huge pipe dream for now. For starters, Warner Bros. Discovery owns the DC property and it would take a miracle for them to allow Netflix to use the characters, especially with DC Studios' intention to kickstart a new franchise.

Also, some of the actors who were part of the DCEU are rumored to either reprise their roles or play new characters in the forthcoming reboot, with Jason Momoa reportedly set for a restart of his own.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens but for now, let's just enjoy Snyder's upcoming projects.

Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon premieres this December 21st exclusively on Netflix.
