With Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch teasing the fans that the Doctor Strange sequel will be bigger than No Way Home, which reunited a three-generation of Peter Parker on the big screens, adds up to the immense anticipation of the fans. Also, the recent trailer confirming the X-Men Patrick Stewart's comeback as Professor X completely exhilarates the fans.

While the film is rumored to officially introduce the X-Men into the MCU, fans are still pondering whether it will introduce a new cast, or the former cast will reprise their X-Men characters.

Now, renowned X-Men star James Marsden finally opens up on his rumored inclusion in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel.

In an interview with Black Girl Nerds, Sonic The Hedgehog, and X-Men actor James Marsden discussed his previous role as Cyclops in the first X-Men trilogy.

When the interviewer referenced his iconic X-Men character, Marsden excitedly responded, “Interesting. Oh now, I’m listening. [joking] Yes, let’s bring him back now 22 years later… right, what is the [Multiverse]? I mean is it, yeah… MCU. And what’s the Sonic version of the MCU?”

When asked if he is going to be in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the actor directly responded, “No. I’m not… so I’m not going to see it… I mean, that’d be cool to see those two worlds collide.”

Well, denying rumors isn't something new to the MCU. Prior to the theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield debunked his appearance in the film but was surprisingly still included in the film. Lastly, X-Men star Patrick Stewart also denies that he is in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel, but the trailer directly pointed to his character's comeback.

The multiverse opens up a lot of possibilities that would allow the former characters to come back and reprise their roles in the MCU. If ever Marvel brings back the X-Men into the MCU's expanding universe, it would be hard to see the group without James Marsden's Cyclops.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit the big screens on May 4.
