Wonder Woman 1984's release date has been moved multiple times prior to where it's currently at. The film was originally set to arrive on December 13, 2019, and was then moved up to the 1st of November. The studio finally settled on a June 5, 2020 release date, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the film gets pushed to August 14. Despite having already a few delays, it looks like actor Connie Nielsen isn't sure about that final date yet.

"I don't know about the August deadline there," Nielsen admitted in a recent interview with ABC News. "We can all cross fingers and I sure hope so." That said, the actor remains positive and optimistic about the situation.

"The invention of a remedy against this virus will certainly make everything a lot easier," she added. "Everyone is waiting to get back to work as well, we're all waiting to get started on our next projects, so having access to either a vaccine or at least a remedy will be a good thing for us all."

Movie theaters took a hit with the pandemic as well amid the months-long closures. In addition, it remains to be seen what the situation would be like around July. which is when some theaters are hoping to open, so it is understandable that Nielsen feels the August release could be unrealistic. However, some people are staying optimistic, and while everything is kind of in an uncertain state, fans can help amid the pandemic by practicing social distancing and self-quarantine at home.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set to arrive in theaters on August 14, 2020.
