Wonder Woman 1984: New Details Suggest How Steve Trevor is Brought Back to Life

Wonder Woman is the only DCEU film to be universally praised upon release, and everyone is waiting for the sequel which is set to come out November of next year. Some new plot details have come out online to give us a clue on why we see Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) is alive and kicking in the 80s.

As per SuperBroMovies, Trevor's return will have something to do with Pedro Pascal's character who is said to be a god in disguise. Rumor has it that Pascal's god is willing to resurrect Trevor as long as Diana does his bidding. We still don't know how he's connected to Kristen Wiig's Cheetah though.

We still don't have the official identity of Pascal's god character, but a lot of people have been suspecting God of the Underworld Hades—who else would have the power to bring the dead back to life?

Personally, I think it's kind of a cop-out to have Trevor come back for the sequel, but with Diana's lore tied closely to gods and mythical beings, something like a resurrection is totally possible. I just hope that it doesn't teach little girls to keep pining over one guy forever.

I mean, even if Trevor survived, Diana would have still outlived him. Hasn't she learned anything from the Arwen/Aragorn romance from Lord of the Rings?

Of course, this news is just a rumor for now, so we should take it with a grain of salt. Hopefully we get an official synopsis before the year ends.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set to come out Nov. 1, 2019.
