Gojo might be considered the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, but Yuta is not far behind him, as shown in Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Because of this and the latest episode’s events, fans are wondering if Yuta Okkotsu will appear in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
The Shibuya Incident arc is one of the biggest events in the series as it finally shows Suguru Geto and his group begin their plan to trap Gojo.
As the villains are mobilizing, some are expecting Yuta to finally make an appearance in the series.

Where Did Yuta Okkotsu Go After Jujutsu Kaisen 0?
The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is set one to two years before the events of the first anime season. It followed Yuta Okkotsu and showed how he became one of the strongest jujutsu sorcerers in the modern age.
In the film, Yuta proved to be instrumental in stopping Suguru Geto during the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons.
Despite Geto being an incredibly powerful sorcerer, Yuta was more than a match for him thanks to his impressive abilities. Yuta’s power is also thanks in part to the cursed spirit, Rika.
At the end of the movie, it is revealed that Yuta is in Africa. His goal there is to look for the Black Rope and to help former Geto ally Miguel to train his Sorcerer Community.
Gojo Mentions Yuta in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 9
Yuta has not yet debuted in the Jujutsu Kaisen TV anime, though fans are hoping that he will soon. This is because Yuta was mentioned in Season 2’s latest episode.
Specifically, Gojo told the fake Geto that even if he’s sealed, Yuta is still with them. After all, Yuta was powerful enough to defeat Geto.
In response, the false Geto said that Yuta won’t be the next Gojo given the nature of his power. Yuta’s abilities are from Rika and not innate like Gojo.
Will Yuta Appear in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2?
Because of this mention, fans are now wondering if Yuta will make his long-awaited TV anime debut. That is the case for anime-only fans. Manga readers, meanwhile, already know the answer.
Based on the manga’s events, Yuta will not appear in Season 2. This is because he will only return to Japan after the Shibuya Incident arc.
During the arc, Yuta is still overseas, presumably in Africa. This meant he was unable to help the jujutsu sorcerers during the false Geto’s attack.
This presumes that Season 2 will cover the Shibuya Incident arc and not the aftermath. Yuta may appear if the anime continues until the Itadori's Extermination arc.
There’s also a chance Yuta will appear in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, but only if the anime changes the manga’s story heavily.
However, this is not likely to happen given that the anime hasn’t deviated much from the original story.
