Will Uncanny X-Men Annual #1 Bring Back Cyclops? The Cover Says Yes

After his death was revealed in Death of X, fans were wondering when they would be seeing Cyclops return to the land of the living. He came back briefly during the Phoenix Resurrection mini-series but was killed right after being brought back so that doesn't count. Now that Marvel Comics have revealed their January 2019 solicitations, it looks like Scott Summers will return in Uncanny X-Men Annual #1.

The cover is filled with all of Cyclops' past iterations fighting and climbing each other as if they are trying to reach the top of something. Interestingly enough, it's the Astonishing X-Men version of the character who is on top but what it doesn't reveal anything about the story. Even the issue solicitation doesn't reveal anything as it merely says "Cyclops."

Cyclops' death was first hinted at during Extraordinary X-Men and was later revealed during the aforementioned Death of X. He hasn't been seen since though the younger version of him has been roaming around in All-New X-Men and X-Men Blue, though he seems to be leaving with his teammates in Extermination.

How they bring him back after a Terrigen Mist death is going to be interesting but fans have wanted this version of the character to come back in the longest time. A lot of people will probably have a good time in 2019 now that Cyclops is coming back.

Uncanny X-Men Annual #1 comes out this January.
