It's no secret that South Korea has produced some of the most binge-worthy shows on Netflix right now. Even though zombies are not originally from South Korean folklore, they have taken things to a higher level by introducing shows and movies like All of Us Are Dead, Train to Busan, and #Alive. And it is for this reason that avid fans are looking forward to the latest South Korean show that promises to be a hit.

Duty After School, however, is not a zombie film. It is simply a sci-fi series with an alien invasion theme to it. The only reason why many have likened it to the genre is because it is comparable to All of Us Are Dead, which takes place on a school campus where the lead characters are students.

If you are interested in watching Duty After School, here's what you need to know about the show.

Duty After School is based on a webtoon created by Il Kwon Ha. The premise of the show is similar to Sweet Home mixed with All of Us Are Dead.

The show starts with a normal day for Class 3-2 students of Sundong High School, that is until purple orbs start falling from the sky like lightning bolts. These turned out to be pods that carried aliens to Earth. Left on their own, the aliens are able to wipe out cities.

As the South Korean army struggles to defend citizens, they have no choice but to enlist students who are above the secondary grade. This leads the students of Class 3-2 to train with firearms after their school hours in exchange for extra university points.
