Netflix's has found success in one of its reality dating shows. Now on its fourth season, Love Is Blind, ends each season with a reunion episode as its finale.
The reunion episode is typically something that fans look forward to as it happens in real-time, unlike the rest of the episodes, which were filmed months before.
Unfortunately, the release of Love Is Blind Season 4's reunion episode was delayed. And Netflix explains the reason behind this 75-minute delay.
Love Is Blind Season 4 Reunion Episode Release Date?
After 12 episodes, the remaining contestants on Love Is Blind got together for the finale episode, The Reunion. This is a typical flow of events that has since been practiced in the first Love Is Blind Season.
For Love Is Blind Season 4 Episode 13, Netflix announced that the episode will be released on Sunday, April 16, 2023 5pm PT. Unfortunately, avid fans had to wait for over an hour for the show to be streamed on the platform.
Users who tried to watch the episode encountered the usual Netflix error:
"We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title"
Vanessa Lachey, one of the hosts of the show, shared that the viewers "broke the internet." They are apparently encountering technical issues.
"We are ready to roll. We just gotta figure this out. We're getting everything to work. We are not asking any questions to anyone until we are streaming live into your living rooms, onto your phone, onto your tablet, whatever you're watching on. Don't turn the channel! Don't stream something else! Don't go to the bathroom. We're coming for you."
In addition to this, the official Instagram account of the show shared a sign that read: "Love is late. It will be worth it."
Nick Lachey's wife also sent out a funny tweet that everyone who waited for the episode to be aired can relate to.
So Why Was Love Is Blind Season 4 Reunion Episode Delayed?
After waiting for over 75 minutes, the reunion episode still did not air. The next day, however, Netflix sent out a tweet apologizing for the delay.
"To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned. We're filming it now and we'll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry."
Following this statement, Netflix revealed a new schedule for the reunion episode.
"Love Is Blind: The Reunion will be available globally at 12pm PT on April 17. Promise."
This means that the show won't be aired live anymore and has already been pre-recorded.
Needless to say, an explanation behind the delay was not shared by Netflix.
