Sony Pictures has kept a tight lip on the characters in its upcoming superhero film, Madame Web. Because of this, avid fans have been wondering who is Zosia Mamet in Madame Web.
In this article, we've dug around for some information on who The Flight Attendant actress is playing in this female-led superhero movie. While we don't have the full information yet, we can already confirm who Mamet is playing in the movie.
Who is Zosia Mamet in Madame Web?
Back in August 2022, it was announced that Zosia Mamet joined the cast of Madame Web. Unfortunately, the reports that revealed her inclusion in the film did not answer who is Zosia Mamet in Madame Web.
Information on the other cast members in the film was also kept secret until Sony was ready to roll out its marketing materials.
With some digging around, we learned that Zosia Mamet's role in Madame Web is called Amaria. Some fans even guessed that her character seems to be a tech expert/assistant of Ezekiel Sims (played by Tahar Rahim).
While we've answered the mystery of who Zosia Mamet is playing in Madame Web, we don't know the full extent of her role yet.
But based on this video, he asks his assistant to look for the location of Madame Web and the others so he can stop them from killing him.
Why is Ezekiel Sims Going After the Women?
Ezekiel Sims is the bad guy in Madame Web. Rahim shares that he finds his character "fascinating" due to his complex origin story that is unlike the other villains in the Spider-Man universe.
Throughout his life, Sims has been looking for a particular arachnid. So when he discovers that it is in a tribe in Peru, he sets sail to the remote location hoping to get superhuman powers from the spider.
But unlike Peter Parker's Spider-Man origin story, Sims is misguided and only serves himself. His superpower also includes the gift of foresight, which he uses to change his destiny.
He foresees that he will be killed by the two Super-Women, Super-Girl, and Madame Web. In his attempt to stop this from happening, he turns into a complete madman and becomes the villain in his own story.
Where You've Seen Zosia Mamet Before
Zosia Mamet is an actress and musician who gained recognition for her role as Annie Mouradian in the original HBO Max series, The Flight Attendant. She starred alongside Kaley Cuoco.
Aside from this TV series, Mamet played the role of Shoshanna Shapiro in another HBO original show, Girls. Her other TV shows include United States of Tara, Parenthood, and Mad Men.
