The Order of the Inquisitors is an organization whose members are Force-sensitive agents of the dark side.

Most of them wield a double red lightsaber.

While the Empire was in power, the Inquisitors would report to Dark Vader.

They were led by a powerful individual known as the Grand Inquisitor, whom we meet in Star Wars Rebels and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Every other inquisitor is normally addressed as Brother or Sister, preceded by an adjective of number that describes their rank, e.g. Second Sister, Sixth Brother, etc.

Inquisitors were often tasked with locating and capturing any surviving Jedi.

Star Wars Rebels wasn't a good time for the Inquisitor order, as they're more or less wiped out.

At least, so we thought before Ahsoka came out.

Little is known about the Inquisitor that was introduced in Ahsoka's premiere, other than his name, Marrok.

Since he was wearing a full suit, we didn't see his face, but we know that he's portrayed by Paul Darnell, who has been a stunt double in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

We have never seen Marrok before in the Star Wars franchise, so we aren't sure what his role and significance will be.

In the past, several inquisitors have shown their faces, so it's too early to tell if Marrok will remain covered or if we're going to see the actor's face.

Rebels strongly implied that all inquisitors had died. After the last known Inquisitors were wiped out, no new ones appeared, suggesting that they were not replaced by new ones.

This makes sense; most Jedi died during Order 66 and, if the Inquisitors, who are tasked with locating Force-sensitive individuals, are gone, there's no one else to do the job, making them hard to replace.

This makes Marrok's existence a mystery. Did he somehow survive the fall of the Empire? Or is he a new product of the dark side's attempts to re-establish it?

Who Is Marrok, Really?

Since Marrok's face was covered in his first appearance, theories about his true identity are circulating.

So far, his actor has been a stunt double for characters, meaning that if Marrok does show his face, it won't necessarily be Darnell's own.

This has led viewers to theorize extensively, wondering if it might be someone we've seen before; even someone like the missing Ezra Bridger.

While theories are fun, there's currently no real clue about Marrok's identity, so we have to wait and see what Ahsoka's next episodes will bring.
