Who is Shide in Summer Time Rendering?
Shide is the shadow with four eyes in Summer Time Rendering. He serves as Haine's right hand in achieving the Shadows' main goal. He usually follows the shadow Shiori, who Haine has used as her temporary copy.
He spends most of his time on Haine's side. He frequently gets in the way of turning things around when Haine gets into trouble with Shinpei and the others. He was also the shadow in charge of Haine's human sacrifice at Hiruko Shrine on the eve of the festival.
Moreover, Shide is distinct from other shadows in that a standard nail gun can not harm him. It's difficult to get him out of the way because no one has ever been able to hurt him. As of this writing, the only known way to eliminate Shide is to kill Haine.

What is Shide’s True Identity in Summer Time Rendering?
Shide, the four-eyed shadow, is Shidehiko Hishigata, the Hishigata Clinic's founder. The Hishigata clan has always served Haine by feeding on the island's dead bodies. This practice was passed down from generation to generation until Hishigata Seidou retired and the clinic closed.
After confronting Seidou with Shinpei and the others, Ushio severed ties with Sou and Tokiko's mother from Haine. Ushio freed the shadow ties, just as she had done with Mio's doppelganger and Tokiko's guardian shadows.
Shidehiko Hishigata originally made Haine pregnant with his child in order to transfer his memories and continue living by her side. Shide currently assumes the identity of Masahito Karakiri, the head priest of the Hiruko Shrine.
