Who Dies in Leave the World Behind?
Before the film ended, the Sandfords were already dealing with a medical emergency. Archie (played by Charlie Evans) woke up with loose teeth and vomited blood. This sent the family into a panic as they tried to look for a way to get help.
G.H. (played by Mahershala Ali) advises them to go to his neighbor, Danny (played by Kevin Bacon) to get some medicine. Meanwhile, Amanda (played by Julia Roberts) and Ruth (played by Myha'la) team up to look for Rose (played by Farrah Mackenzie).
Before everyone can reunite, however, Ruth and Amanda see New York City in the distance being bombed. They can also hear gunfire in the distance.
Meanwhile, as the film ends, Rose heads to the Thorne's bunker. She finds a collection of Friends, which gives her the satisfaction she longed for since the start of the film.

Do They Find the Bunker?
So who dies in Leave the World Behind? Since the ending of the movie was open for interpretation, we cannot fully answer who dies and who lives in Leave the World Behind.
The Sandfords and the Scotts could have made their way to the bunker in the end since this is what Danny suggested to them. But since the film ended with Rose's discovery, there's no way to know for sure if they found the bunker or survived in the end.
Did Danny Know What Was Happening?
When we first meet Danny, we see him loading his truck with necessities. This is also when Amanda drives to town and meets him for the first time. She didn't think much about the situation since nothing weird was happening yet.
While G.H. had the resources to look into what was happening, Danny did not. But he did say that he was already preparing for something like this. He previously shared that he saw a newspaper article that Russia was pulling out its diplomats. Several other hints led him to come up with that conclusion. Because of these hints, Danny was able to come prepared.
The ending of Leave the World Behind doesn't give much satisfaction to its viewers. But if you're up for a satisfying ending, Rose's discovery may just give you the closure you need.
