Who is Reg in Made in Abyss?
Reg first appeared on the surface after Riko and Nat carried him from the Abyss's first layer. He has no recollection of his life before launching his incinerator at the Crimson Split Jaw monster.
Riko named him Reg after her late dog because he doesn't know anything about himself. Riko conducted some tests on Reg to determine what kind of artifact he is. Based on Reg's resistance to poison and fire, Riko deduced that Reg is a cyborg.
Reg, according to Riko, is an aubade. A Class A artifact from the netherworld is referred to as an aubade. It is a priceless artifact that the government frequently obtains in order to contain the threat posed by such artifacts.
To avoid trouble, Riko is admitted to the cave raiding Belchero orphanage run by Lyza's apprentice, Jiruo. Despite the young leader's suspicions about Reg's fabricated backstory, Reg successfully enters the orphanage and stays with Riko.
Who Created Reg in Made in Abyss?

Reg goes berserk after charging on the source of electricity in Bondrewd's territory in Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul.
He claimed that he had multiple personalities inside his body and that one of them possessed him. As a result, he was able to fight on par with Bondrewd while firing multiple incinerators.
