There have also been lots of unique Bocchi collectibles, though this might be the most interesting. After all, who would think that Bocchi’s box in the first episode is perfect as a template for a new backpack?
Bocchi the Rock! Turns Bocchi’s Manga Box into Real-Life Backpack
Over a year on after the Bocchi the Rock! anime aired, it still enjoys a huge fanbase online. This is thanks to the various collaborations and events that keep fans interested.
For instance, there's the upcoming Bocchi the Rock! compilation film. There was also the announcement of an upcoming AnimeJapan 2024 booth.
Now, the latest thing to catch the eyes of fans is a backpack by AKROS that’s styled after the mango box that Bocchi used.
During Bocchi’s first performance on stage at Starry, she was so nervous that she was only able to perform while inside a mango cardboard box.
Fans can be reminded of this funny scene every day when they buy the backpack. They may not fit inside like Bocchi would with her box, but it’s a surprisingly accurate recreation.
Aside from the same text on the board, the backpack also features high-density polyethylene that’s colored and textured to look and feel like cardboard.
It may seem flimsy given that it looks like a cardboard box, but this backpack’s material should make it sturdy for your work or school needs.

Bocchi Mango Box Backpack: Release Date and Where to Buy
As with many pieces of anime merch, this Bocchi the Rock! cardboard box backpack won’t come cheap. It is priced at 17,380 JPY (around 115 USD), which is quite expensive for a backpack.
Still, given its design, it’s no doubt a must-have for the biggest Bocchi fans. It should be noted that buying this one won’t be straightforward, at least initially.
The backpack will be available for pre-order at AnimeJapan 2024 on March 23 and 24. Those interested in pre-ordering will be able to do so at the AKROS booth.
After its pre-sale period, there’s no word yet on when it will be shipped. There’s also no info yet on whether there will be future pre-order options online.
Even if it does become available online, chances are that it will be a Japan-only release. Thus, fans outside of Japan may need to buy it and have it shipped through package forwarding services.
