According to Cyclops, "Jean's psychic scan placed Trask in the Sahara Desert."

However, it is not only Trask that the team of mutants has to shut down once and for all, but even Master Mold for good.

As much as Wolverine wants to dismember Bolivar Trask in pieces before handing him over to the UN, Storm, and Cyclops warn him they only get the job done by working together.

Now, upon landing in the Sahara Desert, Trask intentionally set up a trap for them in which the X-Men get surrounded by giant sentinels to stop them from disrupting his plans.

Despite the X-Men capturing Trask, he warns them with disgust that while they use their mutant powers to protect humanity, "all you do is remind us that our days are numbered, that humanity itself is obsolete."

It remains to be seen if we'll be seeing Trask escape prison to hunt down the X-Men again, but for now, the first two episodes of X-Men '97 are streaming on Disney+.
