Where Exactly Is Thanos In Avengers: Endgame’s Super Bowl Trailer?

Marvel might have wowed viewers when it dropped a new TV spot for Avengers: Endgame during the NFL Super Bowl game between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots, but fans couldn't help but notice that the video was missing an important player – Josh Brolin's Thanos.

First off, the Endgame Super Bowl TV spot opened up with clips of the fallen members of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Then, it featured different moments with some of the major players in the film like Chris Evans' Captain America, Scarlett Johannson's Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, and Bradley Cooper's Rocket Racoon. But did the trailer show any sign of the film's most important character? Nope. No Thanos at all.

Of course, fans weren't the only ones who noticed Thanos absence in the Endgame Super Bowl TV Spot. Brolin also spotted the missing Titan, taking to Instagram to share the new teaser and point out how the video actively avoids one major element in Endgame.

This isn't the first time that fans noticed Thanos' lack of presence in the marketing campaign for Endgame. The Mad Titan barely had any scenes in the first trailer for the Infinity War sequel either. The only part of Thanos that we got to see in the video was his right buttocks and his hand passing through a field in what we presume to be the campestral farm planet that the Marvel villain escaped to during the final moments of Infinity War.

We can only imagine what kind of scenes Marvel has planned for the Mad Titan in Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
