The SuperBowl has given us only 30 seconds of new footage for Avengers: Endgame, but everyone is already poring over every shot for whatever clues they can find. Though it's not really clear in the trailer, Rocket's outfit is actually a neat Easter Egg.
If you look closely, he's wearing the same blue and red garb from his appearance in the comics:
This isn't just Rocket's outfit in the comics either, but the official uniform of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Members like Star-Lord and Groot have worn the outfit, plus some other ones who haven't been in the movies yet. Drax and Gamora though have always kept to their own style though.

Lately, the comics have been following the look of the movie costumes, but I guess that's expected when you want the characters to be instantly recognizable. I admit I do kind of want to see a full helmet for Star-Lord and not just the one where his hair is exposed all the time. Hopefully by the time Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 comes out, we have the classic blue and red outfits from the comics.
As of now, Guardians 3 is on a hiatus after director James Gunn was fired over some scandalous tweets. Marvel Studios is still looking for someone else to direct, but a lot of people have been vocal that Gunn deserves to finish what he started. Personally, I'm hoping that Marvel is just waiting out the scandal and is planning to hire Gunn once the entire issue blows over.
