Arajin Tomoshibi's Past in Bucchigiri Explained
Like every main character in other shounen anime, Arajin Tomoshibi has a pretty interesting past.
Arajin was once a strong-willed youngster who trained every day with his childhood friend, Asamine Matakara, to become true Honki people. He acted as Matakara’s guide towards getting stronger day by day.
As a result, Matakara looks up to Arajin the most because of his bravery and toughness, and most especially his kind and determined heart.
Even to this day, Matakara believes in Arajin and that he will do what's right.
However, there’s more to Arajin than meets the eye. He’s not brave, but rather, he’s feeble and, most of all, a wimp.
One day, a young Arajin saw how the bullies ganged up on Matakara, who fought and argued about the Honki people.
Matakara stuck to his belief that the legend of the Honki people is true despite receiving punches and kicks from his bullies.
As this happens, all Arajin can do is watch. He even ran off, leaving the poor Matakara alone.
Now, Arajin even pretends that this incident didn’t happen, which explains his strange behavior and attitude toward Matakara. He even gets a stomachache whenever he is reminded of it.
What Is the Mark on Arajin Tomoshibi’s Back in Bucchigiri?
The glowing and pulsating red mark on Arajin’s back is none other than Senya the Majin’s mark.
It doesn’t look like Arajin is aware of this mark; perhaps he can’t even see it, but nothing has been confirmed for now, except that Senya is fully aware of its existence.
Arajin received this mark after he unleashed Senya from the Honki Shrine and first merged with him against Jin Marito of the Siguma Squad.
This mark was then shown when Arajin took a bath, much to the delight of Senya.
As the plot unfolds, we learn that this mark allows Senya to measure and determine how high his merge rate with Arajin is in Bucchigiri.
Whenever the mark pulses, Senya can merge with Arajin at a higher rate, which means they can fight at a higher level of strength.
Meanwhile, it is unknown whether Akutaro Shindo has the same mark now that we know Ichiya is also inside him.
