Meet Yoo Jin Ho, a D-Rank Hunter
We first meet Yoo Jin Ho in the first episode of the Solo Leveling anime. He and Jin Woo cross paths when they both join the hunting party of Hwang Dongsuk.
Jin Ho is the son of Chairman Yoo Myung Han, a businessman. He and the main character Sung Jin Woo become friends when Jin Woo rescues him.
As a D-Rank Hunter, Jin Ho isn't particularly strong. In fact, Jin Woo does most of the fighting when they work together.
At least, Chairman Yoo Myung Han's money allows Jin Ho to afford good quality equipment that keeps him alive.
Despite his lack of physical strength, Jin Ho is both brave and endurant, as he manages not to break when being tortured and he shields an old couple during an attack.
What Happened to Jin Ho in Solo Leveling and Beyond?
Not very much is revealed about Jin Ho's future in the main story, but he does survive, much to his fans' relief.
Towards the ending of Solo Leveling, Jin Woo defeats the Monarchs, then manages to reverse the timeline one last time and start a timeline in which his now-defeated enemies never come to earth.
While this isn't fully elaborated upon, we can assume that Jin Woo's actions affect Jin Ho, who probably never needed to become a Hunter in the newer, more peaceful timeline.
The fact that they won't be hunters together, however, doesn't mean that Jin Woo and Jin Ho never cross paths.
Since Jin Woo returns as a teenager and continues his romance with a teenage Cha Hae In, Jin Ho likely also went back to his teenage years and got to live out his youth in more peaceful times.
In a Solo Leveling side story, he marries Jin Woo's sister, Jin Ah.
