In Japanese, the series’ complete title is Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! If you translate that directly into English, it means Blessings to this Wonderful World.
Compared to many other isekai anime, this is a short and simple title. Its simple nature also means it’s easy to translate accurately into English.
To be exact, “Kono Subarashii Sekai” means “This Wonderful World” while “Shukufuku” means “Blessing.”
Given the series’ story, the title seems to imply that the arrival of Kazuma and Aqua is a blessing to the world, which is quite funny if you think about the hilarious misadventure the two have had.
Interestingly, the official English title of the series is KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!
The addition of “God’s” in the title is curious, as it now seems to imply that the goddess Aqua brought the world a blessing.

The title KonoSuba is essentially just a short version of the series’ complete title in Japanese.
Given that the series was already popular in Japan ahead of the anime adaptation, it made sense that the English title includes this.
There are lots of other shows that have similar shortcuts for their titles. For instance, there’s DanMachi, which is short for Danjon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Daro ka.
As it’s just a shortcut, KonoSuba isn’t a real Japanese word, so it doesn’t mean anything. After all, while “subarashii” means “wonderful,” Japanese has an entirely different word for “wonder”.

After being leaked ahead of its release, KonoSuba season 3 episode 1 is finally available officially on Crunchyroll.
Given that the previous two seasons covered two light novel volumes each, chances are that this new season will adapt volumes 6 and 7 of the light novel series.
