Released in 2022, Weak Hero Class 1 easily rose the ranks as one of the best K-dramas. The series is based on a webtoon called Weak Hero written by SeoPass.
What is Weak Hero Class 1 About?
Weak Hero Class 1 is an action Kdrama that tackles school bullying and the extent to which it can go. The show is directed by You Su-min, who wrote the script from the original source material.
The eight-episode drama follows the story of Yeon Si-eun (played by Park Ji-hoon), a role model student at school who is top of the 1% in his class. His only interest is studying.
Even though he has a frail frame, he does not back down against the bullies in his class. He makes use of his quick decision-making ability, knowledge of physics, and surrounding objects to protect himself.
He later gets help from his classmates, Ahn Su-ho (played by Choi Hyun-wook) and Oh Beom-seok (played by Hong Kyung). Despite their differences, the three become unlikely friends.
There is an important plot twist to look out for towards the end of the series. This ending plays a significant role in the success of the show. This is why fans are looking forward to watching the show get renewed for a second season.
The good news is that the show was already confirmed for a second season. But we're still waiting for an update on when the new season will be released and any changes to its cast.
