Warner Brothers Lengthens The Release Of Batman: The Animated Series’ Limited Edition Box Set

DC fans who weren't able to get their own copies of the newly released Batman: The Completed Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition box set are in for some good news today. Warner Brothers Home Entertainment has just decided to lengthen the run of the release of this deluxe limited edition box set of Batman: The Complete Animated Series just so that it could accommodate the demand by fans.

According to Collider, Warner Brothers has offered to increase the run of its Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition box set to 70,000 copes because of the overwhelming demand that it's received ever since the box set was released.

Speaking with the publication, General Manager and Executive Vice President of Television at Warner Brothers Home Entertainment Jeff Brown explained that the sales of the box set went long past the studio's initial run.

"As many fans and media have noticed, Amazon and other notable retailers were forced to suspend sales of Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition due to unprecedented demand for this beloved series," explained Jeff Brown, General Manager and Executive Vice President, Television, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. "Sales surpassed our initial run of 30,000 limited edition box sets about four weeks ago and, rather than leave so many fans wanting, we implemented new production orders to accommodate the requests for this prized collection. A significant portion of those increased numbers have already sold, and all sites are accepting orders again."

This is definitely good news for DC fans. Batman: The Animated Series was a massively popular show that received a lot of great reviews from critics for its themes, tone, aesthetics and artistic presentation. Not only was it listed the best comic book television of all time, but it also won four Emmy awards, including Outstanding Animated Program.

Now, with the series' deluxe box set, fans can get all the episodes of the classic cartoon as well as 11 specially selected episodes with audio commentaries by the show's cast and crew. It also has a 90-minute documentary about the making of Batman: The Animated Series as well as three Funko mini-figurines and seven lenticular art cards.

The set sells for $112.99 on retail and is scheduled for official release on October 30, 2018.
