Ever since Teen Titans GO came out, it has been placed in the shadow of the original animated Titans series. With the mid-credits teasing a return of the original format, a new teaser has leaked online of a crossover between the original Teen Titans and Teen Titans GO.
As per io9, this teaser was found in the home release of Teen Titans GO to the Movies. It has been confirmed that Teen Titans GO vs. Teen Titans will be coming out in 2019, but there hasn't been any clear distinction on how it's going to be back; whether in the form of a movie, a crossover episode, or a direct to video release.
The original Teen Titans ran from 2003 to 2006, and a lot of people initially celebrated when Teen Titans GO was announced back in 2013. It promised the return of Titans' style as well as the original voice actors. A lot of fans of the original were only disappointed to see that GO was just a comedic reboot with the chibi versions of the characters focusing more on their day-to-day than the drama and action of the original.
Fortunately for WB, the show was a hit with the kids, and it even got popular enough to get its own movie. Personally, though I did grow up with the original Titans series, I think this one stands well on its own, and the humor is very well-written. It even knows how to poke fun at itself and what people think of it:
We don't know when this crossover between Teen Titans GO and Teen Titans will come out, but I think it's safe to say it will be sometime around 2019.
