While many manga creators are active on social media, it’s fair to say that Makoto Yukimura is among the most active as he regularly shares updates about his series.

Yukimura has been especially active recently when the second season of the Vinland Saga anime aired.

On his personal Twitter account, Yukimura shared regular updates after each episode.

Specifically, he has mentioned some interesting details about the anime over the last few months, including his thoughts on the changes that the anime made compared to what happened in the source material.

Instead of being critical though, Yukimura has been incredibly happy with the direction of the anime, enough that he considers the anime even better than his own manga.

He even recommended that those who are new to Vinland Saga should watch the anime first as he considers it a better introduction to the series.

Aside from his effusive praise of the anime, Yukimura also shares regular updates about the manga on Twitter.

Yukimura retweeted this, apologizing to everyone in Denmark for the mistake.

This is a funny error as Yukimura admitted that Japan being mountainous influenced his drawings for Denmark.

In reality, Denmark is well-known for being a mostly flat country with no mountains to speak of.

In response, fans hilariously responded by saying that they will build mountains in Denmark so that the manga is more accurate.

Meanwhile, others didn’t mind the error as it does nothing to affect the story.

The Vinland Saga manga gets new chapters every month in Monthly Afternoon and K Manga.

Meanwhile, the anime is confirmed to continue after Season 2.
