Venom: Let There Be Carnage did not make a mistake in moving the release date earlier as the film opens big in the box office, securing the second-best premiere sales, and they were able to follow the footsteps of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings for opening amidst the threat of the pandemic.

In a report from Deadline, Venom: Let There Be Carnage scored $11.6 million on Thursday night, September 30, only falling behind a few figures from the $13.2 million opening of Black Widow. Coming in third on the list is Shang-Chi's $8.8 million and on the fourth is F9 with $7.1 million.

Looking at the numbers, it seems that Marvel, not having any film in 2020, got their groove back with three of their titles lording over the opening box office hits list. Sony's entry, Venom: Let There Be Carnage surely made some promise after various reschedules of the release date of the movie and it is definitely worth all the wait with the revenue it is getting.
