Undead Unluck Will Stream on Hulu This October

While the show’s release is three months away, TMS Entertainment recently announced that the Undead Unluck anime will be streamed on Hulu this October.

Along with the show’s Hulu streaming release, it was revealed that the anime will be highlighted by Hulu at Anime Expo 2023, which will begin on July 2, 2023.

Undead Unluck is the next hit manga from Weekly Shonen Jump that will get an anime adaptation. The latest is Mashle: Magic and Muscles which was broadcast during the Spring 2023 season.

David Production Is Working on Shonen Jump’s Next Anime

Battle shonen is an incredibly popular genre, and it’s fair to say that Weekly Shonen Jump is the king of said genre.

After all, Shonen Jump is the home of the biggest shonen hits such as Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen.

While there have been many Jump anime, Jujutsu Kaisen is possibly the last new title that became a worldwide phenomenon.

And while it’s still going strong, there’s no doubt that Shonen Jump is looking for another anime hit.

Enter Undead Unluck, another Jump manga that’s getting an anime adaptation by David Production.

This studio is known affectionately by some anime fans as the JoJo studio as they are the ones behind the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime. But the studio is also known for animating Cells at Work! and the new Urusei Yatsura.

It’s too early to say if Undead Unluck will become the next shonen anime to become a huge hit, but there is potential for it to succeed based on its interesting premise and the fun dynamic between its two leads.

Undead Unluck Will Stream on Hulu in Fall 2023

While details about the anime’s release were revealed previously, TMS Entertainment now confirmed that the show will be streamed on Hulu this October.

Though interestingly, it wasn’t revealed if this will be a Hulu exclusive.

After all, while some shows such as Bleach: TYBW are Hulu-exclusive in the US, there are others like the upcoming Zom 100 anime that will stream on both Hulu and Netflix.

We might find out more info at Anime Expo though, as the event will host an Undead Unluck Q&A panel featuring voice cast members Natsuki Hanae and Moe Kahara.

While the show will be streamed with English subtitles, the series is also confirmed to get an English dub, with open auditions to be held at Anime Expo 2023.
