Ubisoft Officially Confirms Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Like many years before, Ubisoft has ended up revealing the latest Assassin's Creed game after a high profile leak spoiled the surprise. The same thing has happened for their latest game Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which Ubisoft has now confirmed via the company's Twitter account. As if that wasn't enough for fans of the series, we also get a second of gameplay.

In an odd move, the one second of gameplay we see is a Greek soldier kicking someone off a high mountain. Whether this is supposed to be a new move or a dramatic cutscene is unsure but here is hoping that the game itself is loads of fun. Origins helped the series get back on track, so Odyssey has some expectations to live up to.

This short gameplay clip does not confirm if Bayek will be returning from Origins, so Ubisoft does have one thing they can prove wrong. Then again, given how popular Origins was with fans, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see the Egyptian protagonist return.

More details on Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be revealed on E3, so fans just have to wait nine days. It's set to be a big event as always, so here is hoping that it doesn't disappoint.
