Toy Story 4 Synopsis And Poster Revealed

Disney fans are on a field day today. Not only has the Mickey Mouse House dropped the first teaser trailer for its upcoming Disney-Pixar movie, Toy Story 4, it's also released the official synopsis and poster for the film.

While the trailer gave us a tender moment between Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang, this new poster for Toy Story 4 teases what might be the end of the franchise. Headed towards a shadowed portion of a brown canvas, Toy Story fans see Woody tipping his hat in what seems to be a farewell in the new poster for the movie. The material might seem simple and minimalistic, but its sobriety teases what might be another emotional turn in the franchise – something that fans have come to expect of any Toy Story movie.

The synopsis of the film doesn't give away too much of that emotional weight though.

Thanks to the trailer, fans were introduced to one of the newest faces in the franchise – a fork that doesn't feel like he belongs with the rest of the toys in Bonnie's room. Now, Toy Story 4's synopsis gives us a few new details about the newbie, Forky.

Here's the official synopsis for Toy Story 4:

"Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that's Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called "Forky" to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (Riley's First Date?) and produced by Jonas Rivera (Inside Out, Up) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer Inside Out), Disney•Pixar's Toy Story 4 ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019."

It's going to be interesting seeing a plastic fork try to find his place among the other toys. We wonder what kind of dark and emotional turns the movie has prepared for us with this new character mixed in with favorites like Woody and Buzz.
