While fans have mixed opinions on the Tokyo Ghoul anime, reception to the first live-action film has actually been positive and many of us are looking forward to the sequel. Tokyo Ghoul 2 was confirmed not too long ago and now we have a release date for the sequel, so fans that enjoyed the first installment will be happy about this.

According to the movie's official Twitter, Tokyo Ghoul 2 will be coming out on July 19, 2019, which is a bit sooner than most expected. The sequel will bring a number of fan-favorite characters who were not in the first film, including Toka Kirishima, who everyone wants to see in live-action due to his wild nature in both the manga and anime.

From what can be seen in the post above, we now have Maika Yamamoto playing as Touka, who is replacing the previous actress. Those that love the manga and anime will love seeing them in their coffee shop waiter attires. Things won't be that rosy for long, especially with Kirishima coming.

Now that the manga has concluded, this should please fans who want more Ghoul in their diet. Tentatively called Tokyo Ghoul 2, nothing is known about the sequel at this time, aside from the confirmed July 19, 2019 release date. It's not yet known how many arcs this movie will be tackling.
