Toby Kebbell Gets Brutally Honest About His Fantastic Four Role

The 2015 reboot of Fantastic Four remains to be one of the most panned movies to date. A lot of fans have been trying to forget the film's existence, but there have also been discussions about what went wrong during its production that led to its poor results.

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Toby Kebbell, who played Doctor Doom in the maligned film, looked back at his role as the infamous Marvel villain in the 2015 reboot where he admitted that he has no attachment regarding his involvement in the film.

"Definitely the placenta puff. I'd eat a whole croque en bouche of placenta puffs rather than be asked if I would go back and be terrible as Doctor Doom again. 'Hey, you were terrible as Doctor Doom. Would you go back and do it again?' Eh, no," he said.

When told that he has nothing to do with the film's poor reception, the actor quipped, "You're absolutely right; it was not my fault."

The actor also ended up poking fun at his previous films where he claimed that he has done "some of the worst movies of all time."

He continued, "Hey guys, I'm in Hurricane Heist, you don't have to lie that I'm a good actor. I am in some of the worst movies of all time. I watched Pagemaster as a kid, and I was like, 'This is a terrible movie,' and I topped it. I didn't realize I made it a goal of mine to ruin cinema, but I did it. I fully accomplished it."

Up to this day, the 2015 reboot remains to be a subject of malignment from fans and critics and it is pretty clear here that the people involved in the film such as Kebbell also feel the same way as they don't have a lot of positive words to say about it.

Fortunately for fans, Marvel Studios themselves is currently developing the MCU reboot of Fantastic Four, and a lot of fans have high hopes that they will finally get it right on introducing the First Family to the big screen.
