While its title makes it seem like a dark and violent series, Tis Time for Torture, Princess is anything but grim.
The series follows the princess of the Imperial Army who is captured by the Hellhorde. Her demon captors proceed to torture her for information, though their definition of torture is not what you’d expect.
As actual torture is prohibited in the world, the princess’ captors instead torture her by tempting her with various delectable snacks.
Given its comedic premise, the series has gained a solid fanbase who have enjoyed the anime’s hilarious gags, especially as they make for a nice break from the season’s action-heavy shows such as Solo Leveling.
As it hasn’t been the most talked-about show of winter 2024 internationally, the second season announcement came as a surprise to many.
