Thor Sits On The Throne In New Thor: Ragnarok TV Spot

There's a lot of excitement building up over Thor: Ragnarok. Not only is Chris Hemsworth's third Thor film a lot more bright and colorful compared to his first two solo Marvel movies, Ragnarok also has a lot more jokes this time around, taking on the humor of director Taika Waitit.

Still, despite all of the jokes expected to crop up in the third Thor movie, Ragnarok is also expected to tackle some pretty serious questions when it premieres next month. One of these questions includes the whereabouts of Thor and Loki's (Tom Hiddleston) missing father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins).

Right after Thor abdicates the throne in Thor: Dark World, Odin suddenly transform's into Loki and scenes from Ragnarok's previews show the Asgardian God of Thunder enlisting Doctor Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) help in search of Odin.

Now, in a turn of events, a short new RagnarokTV spot shows Thor sitting on Odin's throne on Asgard. With his hair cut short, it seems like this scene comes from much later in the movie when Thor returns to Asgard from Sakaar.

However, knowing that Hela's taken out most of the city during her first assault, one has to wonder why Hela didn't take the seat in the first place. Are there some warriors of Asgard still left alive?

We'll have to wait and see.

Thor: Ragnarok premieres on November 3, 2017.
