Princess Cirilla is undoubtedly one of the most intriguing characters in The Witcher because of how her story changes so drastically between seasons. Although she started out as a seemingly helpless child in Season 1, Ciri quickly proved she can hold her own in the second season.

Interestingly, Freya Allan says that her character is set for even bigger things in Season 4.

In a new interview with SFX magazine, Freya Allan revealed that there were a lot of changes that had to be made in Ciri's story (via GamesRadar).

"In the original script, I didn’t have as much action," Allan said. "There was a lot of me standing around, waiting to get saved by Geralt and Yennefer."

"I just thought at this point, two seasons in and she spent the last season training, that could still be there," she added.

We're still waiting for The Witcher Season 3 but Freya Allan is already looking towards the future. After teasing on what will happen in the third season, she shared some details about what happens in Season 4.

"If we are not seeing her do anything yet, and then in Season 4 she is going and joining a gang of killing Rats, it’s not really going to add up," Allan said.

"I wanted it to feel like she started to use that training and put that into real life, although she’s not killing anyone yet, or shouldn’t be," she continued.

It's an awesome tease considering that fans have been wondering when the Rats will finally debut in the Netflix series. Luckily, it looks like we'll finally get to meet the gang of criminals in The Witcher Season 4.

The Witcher Season 3, Volume 1 premieres on Netflix on June 29, 2023. The second set of episodes will be released on July 27, 2023.
