The Witcher Showrunner Reacts To Possible Triss Merigold Casting

The new cast members of Netflix's The Witcher series have recently been announced, confirming the actresses who will portray Ciri and Yennefer. However, it looks like the show has yet to find someone to play the other important female character Triss Merigold. Interestingly, Lauren S. Hissrich has reacted to fans' call for the sorceress to be added to the series.

Hissrich recently confirmed that she had dismissed "the remainder of the writers room", teasing that The Witcher script is finally done. One fan brought the showrunner's attention to Triss' casting and she had an interesting response. Check it out below.

Hissrich's followers are well aware of her love for cookie dough and have tried to bargain with the showrunner using the sweet treat. Unfortunately, it looks like Hissrich is keeping quiet about Triss' casting. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean it isn't possible that the sorceress will not be joining the Netflix series.

The Witcher has added Freya Allan as young Ciri and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer. Jodhi May and Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson will play Queen Calanthe and her consort Eist, respectively. Millie Brady of The Last Kingdom was cast as Princess Renfri while Adam Levy joins the show as the druid Mousesack. MyAnna Buring will portray Tissaia, leader of the magical academy while Mimi Ndweni and Therica Wilson-Read will play Fringilla and Sabrina, respectively.

The series will be led by Justice League actor Henry Cavill, who will take on the lead role of Geralt of Rivia.

The Witcher series has not yet been given an official premiere date. However, the show is expected to premiere on Netflix in 2019.
