The Suicide Squad: James Gunn Says You're Wrong about Steve Agee's DC Character

At this point, fans are only guessing at who is playing who in The Suicide Squad. For instance, people already believe that Steve Agee will be playing King Shark in the highly anticipated DC Extended Universe flick. However, James Gunn has just hinted at the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star playing a completely different character.

Agee recently celebrated the film wrapping up production in Panama. "Just wrapped #TheSuicideSquad here in Panama! What a fun 6 months it's been. Thanks
@JamesGunn for letting me be part of it!" he tweeted. Not surprisingly, the director immediately responded to the post with an interesting message of his own. Take a look at the tweet below.

"You're welcome!! And you're incredible in the movie... even though you might not quite be who people think you are," Gunn wrote.

There is little doubt that Gunn is referring to previous speculations where fans believe that Agee will play or provide the voice of King Shark. However, the role has not yet been confirmed so it looks like we're back at square one in this guessing game.

So who is Agee actually playing in The Suicide Squad? I'm not sure myself but I wouldn't be surprised if his Guardians of the Galaxy character Gef crosses over into the DCEU. For now, we'll just wait until we get the first teaser from the movie to be sure.

The Suicide Squad is still expected to continue production in a new location. The film is scheduled for release on August 6, 2021.
