The Office's Rainn Wilson Wants to be in Star Wars as Bib Fortuna

After The Office, Rainn Wilson had found a role in Star Trek: Discovery as conman Harry Mudd. Now he has his eyes set on Star Wars, and suggests that he could play this Legacy character from Return of the Jedi.

Wilson thinks he would make a great Bob Fortuna in a future Star Wars spinoff:

With Solo teasing more sequels, and a Boba Fett movie announced, it would make sense for Fortuna to appear in some point. I don't think Wilson would look like the character at all, but I would be happy to see him join the Star Wars universe. I think he could actually pull off Dengar better than he could Bib Fortuna.

Mark Hamill himself has shown his support for the tweet, but I don't think he has any power when it comes to casting in the films. Hopefully a casting director in Lucasfilm will consider Wilson for a role. I mean, if Judah Friedlander can appear in The Force Awakens, then there's some room in the franchise for Wilson.

We still don't have a release date for the Boba Fett movie, but you can catch Solo: A Star Wars Story in theaters now.
