In The Morning Show Season 3, UBA becomes the victim of a cyberattack, with the hackers demanding 50 million. So, who is the hacker in The Morning Show Season 3, and what do they really want?

The hackers have access to everything – emails, internal databases, and anything that’s connected to UBA’s network servers. This puts UBA in a terrible position, as their ratings and stock could be affected as a result of any leaked information.

The identity of the hacker in The Morning Show Season 3 has not been revealed yet, but here are some suspects:

The one who’s capable of hacking a news outlet is Paul Marks, a tech billionaire interested in buying UBA. Paul and Cory were not in agreement regarding the network’s price.

In the second episode, Cory suspects that Paul is the one behind the cyberattack. He even accuses Paul of holding his “network hostage” until he meets his price.

Additionally, Cory predicts that when the news of the hack comes out, UBA’s stock will drop by 15%. This would force them to close the deal with Paul.

From the start, it’s clear that Jon Hamm’s Paul Marks is a character who cannot really be trusted. The UBA employees are suspicious of his motives, and Stella even describes him as someone “tricky”.

But we later see some good parts of him, especially when he starts dating Alex. This, however, does not erase the fact that Paul could be the one responsible for the hacking.

In Cory’s words, Paul is a “cybersecurity genius”, so a cyberattack is not something difficult for him. But as to Paul’s reasons for hacking UBA (if, indeed, he is the hacker), it’s something that has yet to be revealed.

Fred Micklen

Fred Micklen is the former president of UBA. In the first season, Alex and Bradley expose him for his knowledge about Mitch Kessler’s sexual misconduct and for covering up his actions.

Later on, UBA paid Fred $119.2 million to leave the network. However, Fred would do anything to get revenge on UBA, and he even leaked a video of Alex giving a speech at Mitch’s memorial.

In the third season, he crashes Cory’s party and informs him that he has been overseeing the loan for the network.

In the eighth episode, we see him meeting with Amanda to help sell UBA. It’s clear that Fred isn’t done with UBA yet, which makes him a suspect in the UBA hack.

Russian Hackers

Another possible suspect behind the hack is a group of Russian hackers. In the second episode, Cybil mentions that Putin sanctions cyberattacks against Western news outlets.

She also asks if they can assume the hackers are Russian, and Cory responds that the signatures of the hacks suggest that.

But so far in the series, there hasn’t been more evidence suggesting that indeed it’s a group of Russian hackers that’s behind the cyberattack.

Your Day, America is the rival show to UBA’s The Morning Show, and they are the ones who would clearly benefit from UBA’s scandals. With UBA’s darkest secrets revealed, viewers might want to tune in to Your Day, America instead.

One of the show’s hosts is Audra, and it seems that she knows much about the hack. Audra thinks there’s something going on between Bradley and Cory, so she convinces Laura to read her girlfriend’s emails.

She reveals to Laura that there’s a website that has all the data that were leaked in the hack. However, apart from being The Morning Show’s main competitor, there’s nothing much that points to them being the one behind the cyberattack.

The Morning Show Season 3 has two more episodes left, so the identity of the hacker will probably be revealed soon.
