This week, The Marvels is finally arriving in theaters and MCU fans have been looking forward to seeing the highly-anticipated team-up of Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan after a couple of years in the making

However, prior to the release, there were some concerns regarding the performance of the film critically and commercially as the test screening scores were reportedly "middling" and the early box office projections have been underwhelming compared to the other MCU fare.

The franchise is also currently in a fractured state in lieu of recent reports regarding the problems that Marvel Studios is facing and some fans are wondering whether this will end up becoming a win or another bummer similar to Quantumania earlier this year.

The First Social Media Reactions for The Marvels Have Arrived

Yesterday, the social media reaction embargo for The Marvels was lifted and critics and journalists who saw the film in advance screenings were able to share their initial thoughts on the latest MCU joint.

Fortunately, the responses have been mostly favorable with praises towards the chemistry of the three leads, entertainment value, action sequences, and the post-credits scene. However, the plot and screenplay received criticism.

This is a promising sign for the reception that the film may receive once the full reviews are out since most of them were positive even with the criticisms that they have on how the plot was structured.

The general audience will likely have the same response as they might also have a great time watching it since it delivers enough charm and spectacle. After all, when you're watching a movie in a theater, all you can hope is that you had a wonderful time and the ticket price was worth it.

Whether it will end up becoming a box office disappointment or not, the film has already won some people regardless of the issues that they have with it and it provided enough hope for the future of the MCU despite what some skeptics may say.

The Marvels is set to arrive in theaters this Friday, November 10.
