In just a couple of months, The Marvels is set to arrive in theaters and there is a lot of anticipation for the next MCU film as the franchise is currently in recession. Pundits are curious to see whether it could turn things around and put the MCU in the right direction again.

Based on the trailers that they released so far, it looks like the film has the potential to deliver a fun and entertaining superhero movie that the audience will enjoy and Kamala Khan is seemingly going to be its MVP character.

The film's release has also been delayed multiple times as Marvel Studios is taking its time on its post-production. However, the actors' strike could also threaten its scheduled release this fall as the cast might not be able to promote the film if they proceed with the current date.

Now, as we're more than two months away from its release, we finally have its reported runtime and it looks like it could end up becoming the shortest MCU film to date.

The Marvels Current Runtime Reportedly Revealed

According to insider @Cryptic4KQual on X, The Marvels currently has a runtime of 1 hour and 38 minutes (or 98 minutes). Without the credits, it would be around 1 hour and 33 minutes (93 minutes).

If the film ends up with that official runtime, it will definitely become the shortest MCU movie to date. The Incredible Hulk and Thor: The Dark World currently hold that title as they both have a runtime of 1 hour and 52 minutes.

The insider noted in their report that the runtime is not final and it is likely it will change once they settle with their final length before the release. Marvel Studios has also not commented on the film's reported runtime.

Several insiders on X have also corroborated the report with @CanWeGetToast adding, "Checks out with what I’ve heard! All killer, no filler for #TheMarvels."

Assuming that the film's planned runtime will end up becoming shorter than the typical MCU fare, it looks like it will be a fast-paced film and it is going to be more action and story-driven.

It is hard to tell at the moment whether this shorter runtime works until we see the final results in a few months, but it is surprising information to hear since we are used to seeing an MCU film that is more than two hours.

It also won't be surprising if we find out later on that the runtime will be longer than what is currently being reported since Marvel Studios might want to expand it further and show more character moments in the midst of its fast-paced action story.

The Marvels is currently slated for release in theaters this November 10.
