Yesterday, a bombshell report from Variety regarding the current state of the MCU laid out the alleged behind-the-scenes struggles that The Marvels experienced throughout its filming and post-production.
They highlighted that the film's test screening results a few months ago were "middling" when it was shown in a public audience in Texas. The report also revealed that it underwent four weeks of reshoots in order to make sure that the film is telling a cohesive story.
Director Nia DaCosta's involvement was also put into question since she started working on another project earlier this year while the film was still undergoing its post-production.
Now, a new report has disputed the rumor surrounding DaCosta's alleged exit during post-production.

Nia DaCosta Did Not Leave The Marvels During Post-Production
Collider has reported that the rumors surrounding DaCosta's exit during the post-production of The Marvels are not true at all and she was very much involved in the editing while doing pre-production for another project in London.
Some fans online have also pointed out that a lot of directors in the past have worked on two projects at the same time so it's not unusual to see that DaCosta was doing pre-production on her next project while editing The Marvels.
While Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is notorious for having significant creative control over their films, they still need to have DaCosta's input in its post-production since she is the main key creative responsible for how the movie is being shaped.
It is also likely that DaCosta will be heavily involved in the incoming press tour for the film since the cast members are currently not available to do it as a result of the ongoing actors' strike.
Given that nobody has seen the film yet at this point, it's hard to such speculations on how DaCosta's creative vision actually fared well in the final results and the debate might continue once it arrives in theaters.
For now, we can safely say that DaCosta was very much involved in the making of the film from the moment she was hired to the project until the final stages of post-production. What's more important is that the final version that we will see is as great as we're hoping it to be.
The Marvels is set to arrive in theaters this November 10.
