It's safe to say at this point that Lucasfilm struck gold with the creation of TheMandalorian which pretty much reinvigorated the entire Star Wars franchise. Ever since its premiere last year, the series has been pretty consistent in delivering action and then some. The show's current season may be coming to a close this week but fans can expect Mando and Baby Yoda to return for Season 3 although we're gonna have to wait a full year before that happens.
But aside from The Mandalorian, can we expect Din Djarin to appear in other Lucasfilm projects in the future? Pedro Pascal is pretty hopeful about the possibilities and according to him, he expects Mando to turn up in other Star Wars projects like the solo Ahsoka spinoff show which was announced last week at the 2020 Disney Investor Day.
In an interview with ComicBook, Pascal shared that he'd love to be part of the upcoming slate of Star Wars spinoff projects. "Man, fingers crossed. How could you not? This is like, this is something that's so much bigger than all of us, and we're all a passenger to it in a great way. And so, I find out, as it is decided and shared."
The show's success can be credited not only to the amazing ensemble of actors but to the brilliant duo of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni who surely know the ways not only to the Force but to the hearts of fans. Now, it's safe to assume that the Ahsoka series takes place during The Mandalorian's timeline so an appearance from the famed bounty hunter isn't exactly out of the question.
The season finale of The Mandalorian drops this Friday on Disney+.
