The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal Denies Claims Surrounding His Refusal to Wear Mando's Helmet

It has long been established in Star Wars lore that Mandalorians honor a creed and one of the rules of the said belief is that Mandalorians aren't allowed to be seen in public without their helmets on. Din Djarin aka Mando has been a loyal follower of the creed and he's been pretty consistent about the helmet rule, well, except of course for that time he removed it in Season 1's finale and when he exposed himself to Migs Mayfeld in Chapter 15.

There's been this persistent rumor going on for months now that The Mandalorian's lead star Pedro Pascal doesn't like wearing the beskar helmet and if he had things his way, he'd like his face to be seen by the audience more often than not. This, of course, put Pascal in a bad spot as he was perceived to be a primadonna on-set.

However, Pascal has recently come out to shoot down rumors. In a recent appearance on UK television with Gal Gadot to promote Wonder Woman 1984, Pascal said that the claims are indeed false and he has no issue wearing Mando's helmet. "It's a really wonderful way of telling a story. It's always been a very clear creed for the character. The collaborative process of the whole thing... We've all been on the same page with this... What I want is for them to make the best show possible, however they get that done," he explains. Check out the clip here:

First off, that rumor is downright silly and I don't know where some people got that idea from. Pedro is obviously enjoying his gig as the famed bounty hunter and it's the mystery surrounding Din Djarin's identity that makes the character more compelling. Now, whether Mando removes his helmet or not for his grand showdown with Moff Gideon remains to be seen but one thing's for sure, he'll stop at nothing to save Grogu.

Meanwhile, the finale episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 premieres this Friday on Disney+.
