Looking at the new poster of The Little Mermaid, it pays homage to the poster of the 1989 animated movie of the same title where Ariel is seen sitting on a rock in the middle of an ocean while her face is pointed towards the sky. It also has the same feel as that of the cover of the book where the story is based on.

As for the official trailer of The Little Mermaid, it is scheduled for release during one of the biggest events in Hollywood, the Oscars, and it is expected to show more of what to expect in the live-action adaptation of the story of Ariel and how she followed her heart on land.
