No, you're not the only one wondering the reason behind The Good Doctor season 7 episode 3 delay. If you tuned into ABC yesterday to catch up on the show's third episode, you'll be in for some disappointing news.

Some fans also wondered why they were able to catch up on Will Trent and The Rookie. But why did ABC decide to skip airing the third episode of The Good Doctor season 7?

The time slot of the episode's release was taken over by the election primaries hosted by journalist David Muir.

Unfortunately, it looks like you'll have to wait a little further to watch the third episode since another Super Tuesday is in store for March 12th. This means that you'll be able to watch the third episode on Tuesday, March 19.

While the wait seems pretty far, it's important to highlight the upcoming elections. Fortunately, ABC is making up for the two-week delay by airing a rerun of the show's premiere episode in the 9 PM timeslot. This is a timeslot that is usually reserved for new episodes of The Rookie.

Let's take this time to recap The Good Doctor season 7 episode 2.

In this episode, we meet Lea and Shaun's newborn, Steve, who is not gaining weight as intended. Dr. Morgan Reznick (played by Fiona Gubelmann) supports the new mom to switch to baby formula.

We also meet a couple of new third-year medical students, Dom Hubank (played by Wavyy Jonez) and Charlie Lukaitis (played by Kayla Cromer). While Charlie is on the Autism Spectrum, we learned that Dom has hemophobia.

Dr. Glassman (played by Richard Schiff) and Dr. Lim (played by Christina Chang) have issues being the new co-presidents. As the two struggle to outdo each other throughout the episode, we see them finally reconciling in the end and agreeing to share their responsibilities equally.

Dr. Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) meets a new patient who had hit his head after coughing. After a series of tests, they discover that the patient has silicosis and needs new lungs.

The patient accidentally learns that his daughter has lied to him about her career and refused surgery.

Shaun steps in and helps convince the dad to accept his daughter and get the surgery. When he does, he wakes up to find his daughter by his bed.

After Charlie's mistakes, Shaun decides to give her simple tasks. She still struggles and is often faulted by Shaun.

Meanwhile, Dr. Alex Park (played by Will Yun Lee), Dr. Asher Wolke (played by Noah Galvin), and Dom are working on a brain tumor patient who is a gambler. Park decides to talk to the patient and ask him to change if given a chance. He says yes and promises to quit gambling.

Unfortunately, the patient goes back on his word after his successful surgery. Dom and Charlie share a heartfelt moment as they listen to Taylor Swift after a bad day.

The synopsis of the third episode reads:

"Shaun continues to be tested by Charlie when their newest case prompts her incessant stream of questions – all in pursuit of an answer. Meanwhile, Morgan struggles with who to name as guardian for Baby Eden should anything happen to her."

We're hoping to see Glassman and Shaun finally making up in the third episode since the latter expressed that he wishes they would still be a family even if they were fighting.

There could also be an improved relationship between Glassman and Lim after their conversation in episode 2. We're also excited to see the relatable experience that Lea (played by Paige Spara) has as a new mom.

Sadly, we'll have to wait until March 19 for the episode to be released.
