The Flash Final Season to Bring Back Legends of Tomorrow Cast

The CW's The Flash is about to air its ninth and final season and fans are looking forward to seeing how the series will conclude its run as well as how it will bring closure to the Arrowverse franchise. So far, we know that Stephen Amell is confirmed to reprise the role of Oliver Queen in an episode.

Now, it looks like more Arrowverse vets are also set to make their appearance in the show's final season. In a recent interview with The Nerds of Color, showrunner Eric Wallace revealed that the Legends of Tomorrow cast is set to return in one of the episodes of The Flash's final season.

"Yes, yes. Yeah. And you know, it’s one of those things. We’re still writing a series finale so you never know what could happen at the very end. Hope does spring eternal, but I just want to put that over. All the Legends at least are all going to appear in an episode," he said.

Wallace also discussed how he always wanted to bring back the Legends of Tomorrow cast to The Flash's final season for a two-parter episode in order to give them proper closure since the series was abruptly canceled last year. However, the season's 13-episode run made it impossible.

"There was originally when I had hoped that we’d had 20 episodes, but my original concept was to have at least one — if not a two-parter — that wrapped up Legends of Tomorrow," the showrunner revealed.

"And you know, there will be a little crossover we get them back, we get them out of time jail, all these good things, Booster Gold, etc, etc. When we found out we only have 13 episodes, that was no longer possible."

It is exciting to hear that the Legends of Tomorrow cast will get their closure, even if it's just a little moment since they weren't given an opportunity. It is curious to see how it will all play especially now that the final season will also become a closure of the Arrowverse itself.
