The Flash finally arrives in theaters this week and Warner Bros. has been heavily ramping up its marketing campaign for the titular hero's first solo movie in the DC franchise. The new film also features the highly-anticipated return of Michael Keaton's Batman.

However, unlike any other marketing campaigns that we have seen for tentpoles, this film is missing the presence of its lead star Ezra Miller due to their recent controversies and legal issues and they've been kept in the dark about any press activities.

Last week, we also heard that Miller is expected to show up during the film's Los Angeles red carpet event which is going to be one of their rare public appearance since the controversies made into the headlines.

As reported by Deadline, Miller did walk on the red carpet during The Flash's premiere event in Los Angeles last night. It marked their first public appearance since their various legal issues and controversies that became the subject of headlines last year.

Just like what the report stated last week, the actor only did photo-ops on the red carpet and did not conduct any quick interviews with the press.

However, before the film was screened inside the theater, Miller addressed the audience where they thanked multiple people such as director Andy Muschietti, producer Barbara Muschietti, Zack Snyder, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, and the other key figures behind the movie.

They also gave a shoutout to DC Studios chairmen James Gunn and Peter Safran as he was grateful "for your grace and discernment and care in the context of my life and in bringing this moment to fruition."

Miller's co-stars Ben Affleck, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, and Maribel Verdu were also present on the red carpet. Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Chastain, Kevin Smith, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau were spotted as well.

Meanwhile, Michael Keaton and Jason Momoa are absent in the event as they are filming their respective projects abroad with the former shooting the highly-anticipated Beetlejuice 2 in London.

While Miller is absent in any press interviews and events for the film, they were still included on the red carpet which just shows that the Warner Bros. brass has support for the actor in this special event. This is likely the only time that we will see them show up in an event related to the film.

The actor's future in the DCU franchise still remains unknown as Gunn and Safran are still playing coy about whether the role of Barry Allen/The Flash will be recast in the rebooted slate.
