The Flash Actor Logan Williams Cause of Death Revealed to be Opioid Overdose

It has been several weeks since Logan Williams passed away at the age of 16 but now the cause of death has finally been revealed. The family of the former The Flash actor has confirmed that Williams died of opiod overdose.

Williams' mother Marlyse recently spoke to The New York Post where she shared that preliminary toxicology results show the actor died of a fentanyl overdose. Williams had been struggling with a three-year battle with addiction.

Marlyse revealed that she was aware of her son's addiction which stemmed from being stressed over auditions. Williams reportedly took a break from acting and began abusing substances that made it difficult to get back to work. Interestingly, the 16-year-old actor had actually planned to get clean on his last meeting with his mother.

"He said to me, ‘Mom, I'm gonna get clean. I'm going to get better. And I want my new life to start.' I just know the last thing we said to each other was, ‘I love you,'" Marlyse shared.

Unfortunately, Williams died only four days after their final meeting. Since then, Marlyse has vowed to raise awareness on the opioid problem.

"His death is not going to be in vain," she said. "He's going to help a lot of people down the road."

Williams started acting when he was 10 years old and has appeared in shows like When The Heart Calls and The Whispers. He also had a small role in The CW's Supernatural before landing the coveted part of the young Barry Allen in The Flash. Williams passed away on April 2, just seven days before his 17th birthday.
